“Bear at the Dog Park”
   Photo Package
My Photo Story was done over Bear Tracey-Melsness who is an Anatolian Shepherd that was four months of age when he was photographed. He spent the day at the Alton Baker Dog Park where he enjoyed roughhousing with other dogs as a reward for being on his best behavior all week. His owner informed me that his favorite reward is the Dog Park, mostly because at home he doesn’t have much space to run around as he lives in an apartment. At the Dog Park, he can run freely and stretch his legs which is a highlight of his week.

Bear Tracey-Melsness is at Alton Baker’s Dog Park in Eugene, Oregon as a reward for being a good boy over the past week. He is five months old, so he is still being trained, the dog park is often his favorite end of the week reward for behaving in his training.
As Bear explores towards the end of the park, he sees his friend Rosco. Excited to see his buddy he runs over to him and is excited to play in the mud and enjoy the freedom of the dog park.
Bear looks across the park eyeing another dog. His head is on a swivel while being at the park due to his Anatolian Shepherd roots, much like his ancestors were known for being protective of their owners.
Since Bear was picked from the shelter as a puppy four months ago, the first thing his owners bought for him was a collar with their contact information on it. Because he is a puppy he doesn’t listen well and likes to run away, that was the biggest reason behind getting a collar with tags.
Bear can be seen playing with Rosco (mentioned earlier). They met at the dog park a few weeks ago and now whenever they’re both at the park, they always have a good time together. The dogs at the park like to play rough, which is good for Bear to learn his limits as a puppy.

“Calmness of Coffee and Repitition”
   Audio Story
My Audio Story was done over Peter Perrine who loves making coffee each morning. Most people consider making coffee to be a very mundane act of each day, but because of Peter’s Dad’s tradition of getting his day started off on the right foot, it has helped Peter develop a regime for his mornings. As someone who does not drink Coffee it has always fascinated me how people can be so careful in their process of making a cup of joe, it reminds me of my Dad. He would fill up his thermos every morning before he left for work, the smell of his folgers is something I will never forget.

“Stitching up the Culture of Vintage Clothing”
   Video Interview

My Video Story was done over Sammy Aronoff who is a Writer for BidStitch and sells vintage clothing on @ragaholics.vtg. Sammy is a Junior here at the University of Oregon who started buying vintage clothes with his parents when he was a kid in Marin. Over the years he has grown to thrift with a more sustainable purpose, avoiding buying new products, and never taking clothes from someone who needs a shirt on their back. He is also a part-time writer for BidStitch, an online vintage e-commerce website with over 50,000 followers, where he produces articles about what’s popular, best finds, and information behind collaborations in the retail world.

“LidsbyLy and the Story Behind Her Hats”
   Text Story
My Text Story was written over Lyla Paru who is a Sophomore here at the University of Oregon. She produces and sells Oregon hats for family, friends, and fans to wear as gameday merch or day-to-day headwear. She has sold over 300 hats since she started and is looking to expand to other campuses for the next school year. I don’t have the best background in writing so I enjoyed the challenge of having to write this piece in the past-present-future tenses, I think it benefited my writing experience greatly.
